Due to Support of many devices, the keyboard shortcut keys are continuing in the OS windows 10. 
The following shortcuts are available in windows 10

Common shortcuts

  • Ctrl + A: Select all in a window.
  • Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert: Copy of the current selection.
  • Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert: Paste the copied Selection.
  • Ctrl + X: Cut the current Selection.
  • Ctrl + Z: Undo the Last action.
  • Ctrl + Y: Redo the Last action.
  • Alt + F4: Close the current window.
  • Alt + Tab: Switch between currently opened windows.
  • Shift + Delete: Delete the current selection permanently.


Start Menu

  • Windows key/Ctrl + Esc: Open the Start menu.
  • Windows key + [Number]: Open the application pinned in the task bar based on the position. For example, if you press windows key + 1  then the first position on the task bar application will open. If the app already open then the opened window will activate.
  • Windows key + Alt + [Number]: Same above but the Open the right click Menu of application pinned in the task bar based on the number position.
  • Windows key+D :Show/Hide Desktop
  • Windows key + T: Cycle through the pinned apps on the taskbar.

In Windows 10 Pro : 
Step 1: From the Start Menu Search for gpedit and run the group  policy editor.
Step 2: In Group Polycy Editor Select Computer Configuration in the left hand panel.
Step 3: In that expand Administrative Templates, then Windows Components then Windows Update.
Step 4: Double click "Configure the Automatic Updates in the List
Step 5: Select Enabled Radio Button
Step 6: Select 2-Notify for download and Notify for Install in the list box
Step 7: Then Click Ok

Now system will notify whenever the new installation is available.



In windows Home
The group policy editor is not available in the windows Home.
So  recommended at least open Windows Update and select Advanced option 
Notify to scheduled Restart from the How the updates are installed list.

Like any other versions of windows, we can’t play the DVDs directly.

There is no built in support for playing DVDs. The DATA DVDs can use in the both the version.

IF we need to play the DVD we need to install the third-party DVD player like VLC media player. 

There are many third party players are available but we need to require with MPEG-2 codec. 

Why Microsoft is not included the DVD support means because of now a days computer, laptops, tablets and ultrabooks are not coming with DVDs.

For Windows 10 and Windows 8, the separate App which is called Windows DVD player available in the Windows store. We can download from there. But it is not free. It costs from 11$ to 15$.

Windows 10 new web browser Edge can not save the current page as a HTML file. It is possible to open the page in Internet explorer and then save as as HTML file. Hence still Internet Explorer 11 is included in the Standard with the OS windows 10.


We can save as HTML file with the following steps:

Step 1: Select the menu on the right top corner in the Microsoft Edge

Step 2: Select the Open with Internet Explorer Option.

Step 3: It will open the current web page in a new Tab in Internet Explorer

Step 4: In Internet Explorer save the page as a HTML file by invoking the save  dialogue box by pressing Ctrl+s keys.

To enable/disable folders by selection of the following method

Step 1: Select Start menu




Step 2: Select Settings, the following screen will display



Step 3: Select Personalization

Step 5: Choose which folders appear on start option which is in the last option,  the following screenshot will display in screen.
